The architectural design
A traditional island house of 1890 built into the rock has turned meticulously into a contemporary hotel concept where the historical elements of Santorini Island become the canvas for guests to create unique memories.
Consisted of 6 charming suites, the traditional inner courtyard (alitana in the local dialect) and a romantic rooftop terrace, perfect to admire the beautiful sunset, Firalia welcomes couples, friends, and families to an unexpected experience.
Guests have their first encounter with history, as soon as they pass the threshold and walk into the Alitana (our main inner courtyard), the point of reference for socializing. As a typical Santorini’s house, Firalia is built around an interior garden or paved courtyard that used to function as a connecting open space for all units balancing between the rooms’ privacy and the house’s meeting point.
Today, Alitana is the wonderfully peaceful common courtyard with the monastery's long table where visitors can enjoy the summer breeze under the shade of the magnificent arbor.
A few stairs higher, the Alitana Sunset Terrace comes to initiate them into the Santorini’s renowned sunset, while at the rooftop level, the Fegera Sunset Terrace, furnished with lounge chairs and tables and sunbeds and day umbrellas, stands as the ideal spot to enjoy the golden hour in all its glory and the magnificent sunlight of the Greek Summer during the day.

The suites follow the same philosophy, of unpretentious luxury, as they preserve the island’s architecture with modern furnishing, focused on inner spaces with domes and high ceilings with small windows allowing the natural light and air traversing the whole room.
All suites are complemented with furnished outdoor areas and peaceful views either to the Alitana or the Kadouni (back inner courtyard) and all of them have direct access to the Fegera Sunset Terrace which unfolds every second of the glorious sunset just a few steps away.
